What will you be doing?
Your main job as Lead IT Specialist is to ensure that our IT landscape is efficient and that all employees have the software and hardware required to perform at their best. You will join our international IT team to lead and support cross-functional IT projects to structure, secure and optimize the flow of digital information, within and between services. You will also manage the workflow, prioritization of tasks and coordinate the daily work for our Junior IT Specialist.
Expectations & Tasks
- Responsible for processes, procurement, commissioning, management and support related to hardware, software and user accounts for employee workstations, office equipment and the supporting IT infrastructure
- Own and administer IT systems, including Microsoft Intune, 365 and Azure Active Directory (cloud based)
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of security infrastructure, recommend proper security requirements and safeguards, prepare System Security Plans and review system audits
- Use your knowledge, ideas, and creativity to take our IT infrastructure and processes to the next level
- Identify and evaluate new IT solutions as required
- Plan and manage major upgrades and updates to ensure minimal disruption
- Support and guide the Junior IT Specialist in the daily work with aspects such as workflows and prioritizations

This also means that you are effective at managing multiple tasks of varying complexities, work well under pressure, and are driven by continuous learning and growth.
Education & Profile
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years of work experience from similar roles and responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge of information technologies, information systems and information security
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Tech-savvy, know your way around a Windows and Linux terminal and have experience working with SQL, scripting languages and APIs
- You are friendly, helpful, and like to collaborate with amazing colleagues (often remotely and in an international context)
Extra Pluses
- Experience and/or interest in renewable energy
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure
