The Lead, International Social Media is accountable for the overall performance of Spotify's international social media presence, driving impact across reach, engagement, relevance, and brand health in markets worldwide.
This role owns the strategic direction, performance frameworks, and success metrics for international social ensuring global priorities translate into measurable outcomes while enabling regional teams to deliver culturally resonant, high-performing work. Operating at the intersection of strategy, culture, and analytics, this role is responsible for turning global ambition into sustained international social performance.
Key Responsibilities
International performance ownership: Owns performance outcomes for international social media, defining success metrics, setting benchmarks, and driving continuous improvement across markets.
International social strategy leadership: Owns and evolves Spotify's international social media strategy in close partnership with the Global Head of Social Media, aligned to global brand and business priorities.
Global-local alignment: Acts as the primary bridge between global social strategy and regional teams, ensuring clarity, consistency, and flexibility across markets.
Regional partnership & enablement: Works closely with regional social leads to support execution, unlock opportunities, and elevate locally relevant storytelling.
Standards, frameworks & playbooks: Develops and maintains global guidance, best practices, and strategic frameworks that support high-quality social execution across regions.
Cultural intelligence & trend leadership: Identifies emerging platform behaviors, cultural moments, and regional trends, helping inform both global and local social approaches.
Knowledge sharing & scaling excellence: Surfaces best-in-class regional work and translates learnings into scalable insights for global and cross-market use.
Measurement & impact: Partners with analytics and insights teams to evaluate international social performance and inform ongoing strategy evolution.
Cross-functional collaboration: Aligns with brand, music and podcast/audiobooks social leads to ensure business objectives are supported internationally.
