Electronic Hardware and Testing is a diversified, cross functional group 20 plus highly skilled engineers, with responsibility spans from designing of wire harness, System engineers owing range of electrical power system components, Sensors, HiL team responsible for designing & developing test infrastructure to the cross functional emerging areas like electro mobility and group of system engineers responsible for Control systems.
We now looking for you who is curious and have genuine interest to be part of Volvo Penta sustainability journey. To be part of our growing team as experienced HiL system engineer. Using both your knowledge and curiosity to find the best solutions together with your colleagues in EH&T.
This is how you could make an impact
As PO HiL Systems you will be fulfilling the following tasks and responsibilities:
Create a product vision and roadmap for HiL systems.
Create improvement plan in areas like common HiL architecture, CI.
Prioritize the Product Backlog and act as a bridge between developers and stakeholders.
Design and develop HIL test system for control systems of both Industrial and Marine applications.
Responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing the HIL test system to achieve maximum test efficiency, HIL test system uptime, and HIL test system utilization.
Acts as the technical expert for the engineering department in specialized areas of complex system troubleshooting and HIL Systems technology.
Estimates time and cost requirements for the development and implementation of HIL test systems.
Who are you?
To be successful in this position you need to be a team player with strong collaboration/networking skills and have an analytic mindset who enjoy problem solving. You also need to be open-minded, self-motivated.
We believe that you have:
Mandatory requirements
You have 10+ years of relevant experience of building HiL environments for control systems (preferably Automotive).
You have 3+ years of experience as Product Owner / Lead engineer in relevent area.
Having good experience in NI tool chain and NI HW like PXI / cRIO, Veristand.
You have good experience in system modeling techniques and demonstrated experience in NI Labview, Matlab/Simulink.
You have been working with system weaver or any requirement management applications.
Having proven excellence in test and test automation of embedded software systems.
Having intermediate knowledge of test automation frameworks like python roboframework.
Having good knowledge on the automotive protocols like CAN, LIN and tools like CANoe, CANalyser.
You're a holder of a university master's degree within Computer Science or embedded systems or automotive or electronics Engineering.
You are fluent in spoken and written English.
Good to have
Having good knowledge in ISO 26262.
ISTQB certifications - Foundation level, advanced or Test architect.
You have knowledge in design and development of other HiL systems like dSPACE, Vector.
You are an excellent networker and surely cross-functional with great communication skills.
You are result-oriented, with a high level of engagement and a strong enthusiasm.
You have been working successfully in an agile or lean environment.
Your "think-outside-of-the-box-attitude" is valued by your co-workers.
You have fun teaching and explaining complex correlations.
