Vehicle Architecture is a function within Vehicle Engineering with the responsibility to lead and secure the complete vehicle architecture for Volvo heavy duty trucks COE. Our main tasks span from long term architecture strategies to lead the detailed mechanical integration work in projects. Our skilled team of 18 awesome engineers with a collaborative mind-set are eager to welcome you to the team.
Role Description
As a Geometrical architect, you will be deeply involved in projects with the responsibility to lead the integration activities in line decided architecture, stakeholder requirements and customer needs. The cross functional Geometrical Architecture Meeting with participants from all concerned departments will be your main forum to lead the activities. Between the meetings, you will perform own integration studies to analyze consequences, detect issues and propose solutions that bring progress to the development.
You will also contribute to the development of our future vehicle architecture by conducting architectural studies in advanced engineering and pre studies in close cooperation with the Vehicle Architects.

Competence Profile:
Extensive truck knowledge with emphasis on chassis and/or powertrain installation
You have an open and positive attitude. The job requires that you create a strong network within the company
Analytical, structured and solution oriented
Highly proficient in spoken and written English
Engineering degree (BSc or MSc)
