You will be part of a small Stockholm based team focused on improving economy design techniques and delivering value on both live and new games. Your tasks will change depending on company needs but include
• Supporting our live games in deeply understanding and keeping in check their economy
• Supporting both new games and live game teams developing new product and features, making sure these have strong system and economy foundations, enough monetization depth and realistic content production needs
• Being an active member of our international community of economy designers, and share your knowledge to support other teams in improving their designs and economy design operations
• Leverage your insights and experience in economy design to contribute to the continuous development of techniques and insights in economy design.
• Mentor or manage more junior economy designers and game balancers
• Contribute in developing the game economy design craft across King studios
Skills to create thrills
You have a passion for game economy and the following skills and experiences
• Proven experience in building and balancing game economies, having worked on games in development as well as live.
• Experience leading and developing Economy Design teams ideally across multiple applications or franchises
• Highly analytical, skilled at building models and tools to simulate and analyse game economy and player behaviour.
• Experience collaborating with senior leaders and creatives, able to reconcile different views and creating clear aligned projects and goals
• Strong planning and organizational skills that make you able to set up, follow up and successfully drive to conclusion key strategic initiatives
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Able to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization
• You love teamwork and are comfortable working with designers, producers and business performance professionals from a wide range of backgrounds.
• You are able to work in a collaborative and flexible environment where your role will evolve in line with the ongoing plans for development within King.
Bonus points
• Proficient with some scripting or programming language (Python is a plus).
• Good statistical skills
