The Section Closures, within the department Painted Body & Closures, consists of around 85 persons and is divided into 4 groups, Door mechanics, Door structure, Sealing and Rear opening system. Door Mechanics is responsible for the window regulator, latch and door handle, Door structure for the door structure and the rear system for the rear structure, latch and handle. The sealing team are responsible for the door seals. This is the main seals on the body and the door but also for all seals around the moving glass. The group include 15 persons. 5 Cad-designers that develop the seals in the first faces in the development. There are also 7 design leaders that are responsible for the complete project. Other members of the group are a Technical responsible, for all sealing and a group manager.
You will work as a Lead Engineer- Door Seals and the main responsibility is to handle all contact with the supplier and secure the quality of the part. All issues need to be solved and the solution need to be implemented in the part. This involves all aspects like time, cost, and technical.
Main responsibilities
• Lead a team including suppliers to secure deliveries and results
• Handle project deviations and secure all corrective actions
• Responsible for time, budget and cost.
• Report the project status and prepare decisions to the Project & Line management
• Responsible for the release of all technical documents
Required qualifications
• B. Sc. degree within engineering or equivalent work life experience
• Experience of leading suppliers
• Experience as Lead Engineer within product development
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Drivers licence B
• Experience of working with seal components is meritorious
• MS.c degree within engineering is meritorious
