The group Wheels, tyres & Equipment is responsible for the development of wheels, tyres and equipment such as jack, spare wheel and repair kit. The group is a part of the section Brakes, Controls, Wheel and Tyres which belongs to the Active Chassis and Safety unit. It consists of three development groups: Brake Mechanics, Brake Controls and Wheels & Tyres.
As Lead Engineer you are expected to be involved in Wheels, Tyres & Equipment deliveries during all phases from concept to aftermarket. You are responsible for managing and overseeing the total project content. You are also expected to be involved in design engineering activities and have cross functional responsibility together with purchase and manufacturing. The work is done with a lot of cooperation with our suppliers.
Main responsibilities
• Development of solutions within the groups responsibility
• Cross functional responsibility for deliveries
• Create packaging models in CATIA V5 and Team Center
• Follow up on project milestones
• Report project targets, commitments, status and forecasts
• Monitor and update time plans
• Be a part of technical reviews
• Weekly project meetings with Senior/Design Engineers
Required qualifications
• Technical university degree
• Experience in project management, preferably within the automotive industry
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Documented experience within CATIA V5 and Team Center
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Drivers license (B-level)
