We are now looking for an Lead Engineer wiring harness designer Low Voltage within Power & Signal Distribution (PASD)!



Description

The E/E Team, that you will be part of, is incorporated in a bigger unit inside the Technical Development Organization with locations both in Sweden/Trollhättan and in China/Tianjin. You will part of a team of Engineers, with primary responsibility for the wiring harness development within Power & Signal distribution.

A Lead Engineer PASD Low Voltage primarily collaborates internally with other engineers, technical specialists and project management. You will be responsible for cross-functional meetings and communications through the complete product development lifecycle, and define action plans for critical items. In the role, you will commonly lead presentations, write technical requirements, and secure its implementation. Externally your contacts will be with suppliers and is involved in all phases of a car project. You will be an important player within the development of existing architecture platform and upcoming platform/projects.

As a lead engineer, you will be responsible over identifying opportunities and implement changes to improve products or processes and reduce cost. You will lead the development and maintenance of verification and validation methodologies and procedures that concern PASD. As lead, you will have to anchor these decisions, development and status with responsible line management. Towards the group you will work within it is within your scope to support the mentoring and training activities.



The role as Lead Engineer also involves the following tasks and responsibilities:

- Lead and coordinate the development of Low Voltage PASD on system and component level to secure Mechanical and Electrical integration.
- Be the driver to deliver according to project milestones from first sketch until production of wiring harness & implemented in production, secure maintained timeplan
- Develop and maintain the environment for PASD development
- Support/review the Wire Harness Complexity (Variant Structure List) defined by Systems together with the Wire Harness Design Engineers, aspects as cost impact, technical quality assured solutions
- Evaluating the feasibility of new proposals and products
- Leading analysis of designs such as FMEA, FTA etc.
- Providing input to best practice design solutions

We are looking for someone who has:

- Minimum education of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience from Power distribution systems preferred within Low voltage area in the automotive industry, minimum 5 years
- The ability to support PASD engineering and product development organization with a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge on PASD
- Experience from harness components design & requirements definition
- Fluent in English both spoken and written Driver license B
