In the role of Lead Engineer / Technical Lead Automation, you will have varied tasks, participating in both bids and projects for customers, combined with leadership and coordination of other engineers within the project team, both from Sweden and other countries. You become part of ABB Energy Industries, which is part of ABB's business area Process Automation and works with customers in the heat, water, and nuclear power industry, as well as the pharmaceutical, food, and chemical industry in Sweden and the Nordics.

Our project operations are currently based in Malmö, Mölndal/Uddevalla, Västerås, Kista, and Umeå. The placement for this position is at our office in Västerås.
Your responsibilities
As a Lead Engineer and Technical Lead, you are responsible for technical coordination internally and externally in our automation projects for customers.
You participate in project deliveries with the project team, which may include the development of functional specifications, ordering hardware and software, system setup, system integration, programming, as well as system and test documentation and verification/validation through internal testing, as well as at FAT and commissioning with the customer. We base our project deliveries primarily on ABB's market-leading DCS platform 800xA.
You have close cooperation with our customers together with the project manager, including participation in project and technical meetings and site visits.
You collaborate with the procurement department and have direct dialogue with subcontractors to ensure that the right technical solution is developed, which may also include participation in FAT/testing in the factory before delivery.

Your background
You are a driven person who thrives in a leading role where you are self-reliant and can take responsibility and initiative.
You have good teamwork and communication skills.
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
You have at least five years of work experience in similar roles in process automation for the Swedish industry.
You have experience and knowledge in System 800xA in application and/or system installation and upgrades. You also have knowledge and interest in industrial OT/IT.
It is advantageous to have knowledge of electrical design as well as a good understanding of contract law and economics.
You speak and write in Swedish and English fluently.
You have a B driver's license as business trips are included in the role.
