<span style="line-height: 107%; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">Our Section, Interior Safety, consist of three different groups (Seat Belt & Child Restraints; Frontal Restraint Systems; Side, Rear & Rollover) and we are responsible for development of all Interior safety systems.
As Lead Engineer within the group Side, Rear and Rollover Restraints you are responsible for the in-time delivery of the Side and Cargo Protection system solutions in the car (Both for parts in new car project and method development of sled for verification in early phase), which are delivered by the supplier as a result of well performed specifications developed in collaboration with different attribute areas, purchase, manufacturing engineers, system responsible, responsible for surrounding system, etc.
You will establish and develop relationships with representatives from many areas of the vehicle meaning you will build and maintain a wide personal network within Volvo Cars.
Main responsibilities
* Develop the design and manage the assignment with a cross-functional team and secure deliveries and results.
* Responsible to create assignment time plans which meet the overall project plan.
* Responsible for budget and cost.
* Report the assignment status and decisions to SPL and Line management.
* Lead supplier meetings to requirement fulfillment.
* Lead design tasks.
* Participate in attribute verification.
* Lead method development for "generic" test fixture design.
Required qualifications
* Bachelor or Master of Science engineer or similar.
* Skilled PC user and large experience of MS Office, Lotus Notes and KDP.
* Good knowledge in English and Swedish (spoken/written).
* Driver's license (B)
* Experience of working with safety restraint products is an advantage.
* Experience of working as task leader or lead engineer at Volvo cars is a great
* Experience from project management with development supplier.
* Knowledge about Volvo Project Development System, VPDS and connected software such as KDP, LEQM, MS Office and TCR required.
* Creative designer with possibility to develop new solutions.
* Fluent in Swedish and English
