We are now looking for a Lead Engineer, Power Generation!

Description

You will be part of the Power Generation and PTI Systems organization within Powertrain/Chassis. The organization is responsible for system and subsystem requirement settings, design/implementation and testing for Powertrain Integration, Conventional Engine Development and integration in the Powertrain/Chassis domain.

The Power Generation can be a regular combustion engine SI or DI of varying displacement, it could also be other power generating concepts.

A Lead Engineer Power Generation is involved in all phases of a car project.

The role involves:

• Support purchasing and supplier quality in supplier assessments/reviews.
• Be responsible for technical requirements and specifications, for power generation related parts.
• Be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of verification and validation methodologies and procedures for related parts.
• Support the powertrain and chassis engineering development organization with theoretical and practical knowledge on power generations, engines and other power generating concepts.
• Be responsible for component performance through the complete product development lifecycle.
• Establish and maintain internal and external networks on related parts and systems with integration expertise.
• Evaluate the feasibility of new proposals and products
• Lead and plan all design activities to meet target dates.
• Identify opportunities and/or implement changes to improve products, processes or reduce cost.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• University engineering education within relevant area or equivalent experience
• Relevant experience in the work area, preferably in the automotive, minimum 7-10 years
• A thorough knowledge and understanding of vehicle development processes
• A thorough understanding of power generation integration work, both in a Conventional- and an Electrical Vehicle context
• Experience from cross functional work, with domestic and international teams.
• The ability to speak and write in English and to build good relationships.
• Driver license B

• Ability to work autonomously and be able to prioritize
• To be creative, solution-oriented and open minded.
• A solution oriented approach and ability to adapt to new challenges and cultures

National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
