We are now looking for a Lead Engineer Power Electronics!



Description

Within the NEVS team, you will be member of Propulsion and Braking Group, which is a relatively small but effective team.Our group faces challenges of developing relatively new vehicle technologies that will make tomorrow's cars more efficient and environmentally friendly. Each person in the team takes responsibility for their area while being supportive and positivity engaged to ensure we are as effective as possible.

As the lead engineer, you will have product development ownership for assigned power electronics within the group, which may include Electric Machine Inverters and/or DC/DC Converters. This means that you are responsible for products development through the complete product lifecycle, including advanced development, industrialization development, production, and service stages.



The role involves:

- Manage pre-program work streams/deliverables for powertrain power electronics to ensure program content assumptions are feasible and aligned with program financial targets.
- Interface with the core function to maintain relationships and product understanding - sharing work methods, best practices, specifications, and guidelines.
- Line-role with direct support to assigned projects.
- Perform and/or support product development activities.
- Leading technical communication with suppliers.
- Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products or processes and reduce cost.
- Evaluate the feasibility of new proposals and products.
- Support the design and product development organization with theoretical and practical knowledge that concern Power Electronics.
- Be responsible for the development and maintenance of verification and validation methodologies and procedures.
- Support future product planning activities.
- Establish and maintains internal and external networks.
- Support mentoring and training activities.



We are looking for someone who has:

- Minimum education of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Those having a focus on power electronic are desired.
- 5 Years of relevant engineering and/or research experience.
- Driver license B
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written. Preference will be given to those that having a working knowledge of Swedish and/or Mandarin language.

- Have a knowledge and understanding of product development and production.
- Be creative, solution-oriented and open minded.
- Have good communication skills.
- Be able to plan and prioritize.
- Have and "hands-on" approach with componentry.
