We are now looking for a Lead Engineer, Mechanical Integration - RESS.
Description
The responsibility of the Mechanical Integration team that you will be a part of, is i.e. to coordinate, secure and control the integration work to fulfill all geometrical requirements, vehicle requirements as well as demands from production and aftermarket.
Focus area for this position is the vehicle propulsion battery - RESS (Rechargeable Energy Storage System).
The role as Lead Engineer, Mechanical Integration involves:
- Focus area responsibility that reaches over all vehicle projects.
- To lead and inspire other colleagues within the same field.
- Pre-development and Concept in the early phase of a project.
- Finding integration solutions that corresponds to the responsibility of the mechanical integration team for the components in your focus area.
- Coordinating and driving the cross functional work with surrounding areas in the organization.
- Hosting cross functional integration meetings.
- Support other departments with integration/design solutions.
- Evaluate the feasibility of new proposals and products to meet the requirements.
- Identify opportunities and/or implement changes to improve products or processes and reduce costs.
- Incorporating all lessons learned into the integration solutions.
- Virtual Mechanical Integration X-Check at defined gates in the project.
- Anchoring decisions, development and status with the responsible line management
We are looking for someone who has:
- University Education in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience in the automotive industry, at least 5-10 years.
- Experience from mechanical integration and architecture work.
- Experience in Cad modelling/Drawings in NX & Team center.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written.
