At Research & Development you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. This group belongs to the department Exterior Trim and we are responsible for labels on the car. Labels about warning, information signs and legally demanded to mention a few. We also support other departments in their development of labels. Other exterior trim parts, such as under body panels, wheel house lining lies within our responsibility. The group consists of roughly 25 people and we have a positive, friendly and engaging culture within out team.
As a Lead Engineer Labels you will develop labels to new cars or any other change on the car that require a new making. It will be within your role to initiate and lead this work together with the team and you will be working in different projects, which is why experience from project management is needed. We are responsible for making label making on cars produces outside of Sweden, which might require travel. This role is cross functional within Volvo Car Group which will give you excellent possibilities to develop a broad network. We are looking for someone who is open, structured and like to communicate.
Main responsibilities
• Making/designing labels in different languages
• Lead and drive the project and ensure the quality a long the way
• Create documents of amendments
• Lead and project cross functional meetings
Required qualifications
• BSc degree or experience within relevant areas
• Project management
• Skills in MS Word, Adobe Illustrator, Excel and Powerpoint
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Great language skills would be an asset
• Meritorious would be experience in KDP and other IT tools within Volvo Car Goruop
Personal qualities
• Positive, engaged and driving
• Structured and analytical
• A feel for customer values
• Strong communication skills as well as a positive mindset and a networking personality
