Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Scania is one of the world's leading manufacturers of trucks and buses for sustainable transport. Constantly improving the management of our engines and exhaust gas aftertreatment systems is a vital factor when it comes to staying ahead of the competition in terms of development. To achieve this, we need constant innovation in respect of functions and working methods.

The management systems we work on have been developed by Scania, so as Lead Engineer your scope for influence is significant, as we move rapidly from concept to testing and production. One of the major technical challenges is to fulfil future demands for very low emissions and diagnostics for components that have an impact on emissions.

The group that you will join is a positive, social group, and we regard it as natural to help one another to improve our processes and methods.

Your duties
The role of Lead Engineer involves taking on overall responsibility for understanding, discussing, compiling and balancing demands in the functional requirements of internal and external powertrain customers. Together with the section's managers and the Senior Technical Advisor, you will produce the section's technical roadmap and priorities.

Based on the technical roadmap, you will lead the cross-functional work together with our experts in order to produce the management systems of the future for our engines and aftertreatment.

You will togther with three other Lead Engineers take responsibility of one or more customers such as MAN, Navistar, Scania Engines or Scania Truck and Bus.

Your profile
A suitable background as a graduate engineer with experience of development or calibration of management systems for engines and exhaust gas aftertreatment.

As a person, you will like working with others and leading technical work. You are positive, organised and have an ability to get to grips with details but still see the big picture. You have a driving licence and are fluent in both written and spoken Swedish and English. Knowledge of German would be an advantage.

Previous experience of senior roles within technical development would be an advantage.
