We are now looking for a Lead Engineer, HVAC and Thermal System Logic!
Description
The role is within Powertrain & Chassis department. In this department 5 groups exist, which the Thermal Management and HVAC Systems Team is one. The group is constructed of 5 different areas, these are CFD/Thermal CAE, Thermal Systems, Interior HVAC, Electrical Hardware and Logic.
This position would be responsible for logic domain development for the Thermal & HVAC group. The person in this role will lead the development of all software and control logic code development in all stages of a project. Tasks include development of compartment climate, battery and power electronic thermal management control and software logic.
The role as Lead Engineer for HVAC & Thermal System Logic involves:
• Responsible for all HVAC and Thermal Management system software and control logic development.
• Lead supporting engineer(s) with responsibility, task setting, and prioritization within areas of responsibility.
• Lead development of requirements for logic within systems and components.
• Support the development of vehicle level requirements.
• Develop design proposals and implementation.
• Lead or participate in analysis of designs such as FMEA, FTA etc.
• Maintain responsibility through the complete product lifecycle, including advanced development, industrialization development, production, and service stages.
• Line-role with direct support to assigned projects.
• Perform and/or support all applicable product development activities.
• Lead or support technical communication with suppliers.
• Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products or processes and reduce cost.
• Evaluate the feasibility of new proposals and products.
• Support future product planning activities.
• Be responsible for the development and maintenance of the development environment and applicable verification and validation methodologies and procedures.
• Establish and maintains internal and external networks.
• Support mentoring and training activities.
We are looking for someone who has;
• Minimum education of a BSc in Computer Science or equivalent,
• Experience working with automotive HVAC and Thermal Systems,
• Experience working with software development,
• Work life experience from the above fields of expertise 5 years,
• Working knowledge of MatLab, Simulink with code generation,
• Knowledge of development in hand coding using C# is desirable,
• Engineering experience from development in relevant area, minimum 5 years,
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and Swedish, both spoken and written,
• Driver license B.
