We are now looking for a Lead Engineer, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Control) and Thermal Electrical Hardware!

Description

The role is within Powertrain & Chassis department. In this department 5 groups exist, which the Thermal Management and HVAC Systems Team is one. The group is constructed of 5 different areas, these are CFD/Thermal CAE, Thermal Systems, Interior HVAC, Electrical Hardware and Logic.

This position would be responsible for electrical hardware development for the Thermal & HVAC group. The person in this role will lead the development of all electrical hardware development in all stages of a project.  Tasks include development of all electrical hardware within the team's responsibility.

The role as Lead Engineer for Lead Engineer, HVAC and Thermal Electrical Hardware involves;

• Product development responsibilities for HVAC and Thermal System control modules, applicable control interfaces, and independent sensors,
• Provide a supporting role within the group, to applicable component owners, for definition, assessment, and approval of all electrical hardware. These include AC compressor electronics, fans, component sensors and control modules, actuators, etc.)
• Lead supporting engineer(s) with responsibility, task setting, and prioritization within areas of responsibility,
• Maintain responsibility through the complete product lifecycle, including advanced development, industrialization development, production, and service stages,
• Line-role with direct support to assigned projects,
• Perform and/or support product development activities,
• Lead or support technical communication with suppliers,
• Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products or processes and reduce cost,
• Evaluate the feasibility of new proposals and products,
• Support future product planning activities,
• Be responsible for the development and maintenance of verification and validation methodologies and procedures,
• Establish and maintains internal and external networks,
• Support mentoring and training activities.

We are looking for someone who has;

• Minimum education of a BSc in Engineering or equivalent,
• Experience working with automotive HVAC and Thermal Systems,
• Experience working with automotive control modules and/or control interfaces,
• Work life experience from the above fields of expertise 5 years,
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and Swedish, both spoken and written,
• Driver license B.

• Have good communication skills,
• Be able to plan and prioritize,
• Have and â'hands-on" approach in combination with great technical skills.

NEVS is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current Collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
