The section Interaction Development delivers the HMI-/Interaction solution for both ongoing car project and advanced engineering projects. Volvo Car Group goal is to be leading among our competitors within the HMI area, so our demands and ambitions are very high. The group currently exists of 21 people, working as Interaction Concept Leaders, Interaction Designers, Interaction Core Engineers and Interaction Function Owners.
As a Lead Engineer HMI Core you will create and deliver the interaction solution for the UI platform/HMI Core. You will also define the framework for the general interaction across the complete Infotainment and Driver Information system. You are working close to the function owner, interaction designer and graphic designer to develop and specify the core interaction solution. In the concept phase we work close to our internal prototype development team and in the industrialisation phase we work close to our suppliers. You have degrees of freedom to form your deliveries and to develop your own skills, both technically as well as in the area of leadership. Main responsibilities
• Responsible for the interaction solution within your area.
• Develop an interaction solution for a coming Volvo car which is a great cross functional work
• Build and maintain a wide personal network both within R&D as well as in the aftermarket organization
Required qualifications
• B. Sc within Interaction Design, Technical Design, Computer & Behaviour Science or similar
• Driver's license
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Master's degree within some of the fields mentioned above is meritorious
• Documented Interaction design/UI work from automotive or non-automotive areas is meritorious
