Lead Engineer foundation, Brake mechanics
The section Steering & Brake is a part of Vehicle Control & Chassis. In our group we are at the moment 12 internal and 5 resident engineers and we are looking for new colleagues to join us. The group Brake mechanics is responsible for the development of mechanical brake components, such as calipers, discs, booster,vacuum system, pipes, and as well for pedals brake, clutch and accelerator pedals. We are responsible for those components from concept study until the end of production, including maintenance
As a Lead Engineer you are expected to be involved in Brake Mechanics deliverables during all phases from concept to aftermarket. The Lead Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing the total project content. You will have cross functional responsibility together with purchasing and manufacturing. There will be a lot of cooperation with our external suppliers; hence, we are looking for someone used working with different stakeholders and various levels. You will be responsible for foundation in brake mechanics with a good possibility to develop and grow in brake mechanics or program executions.
Main responsibilities
* Developing of brake components supporting brake by wire
* Cross-functional work and taking the responsibility for delivery
* Track project milestones
* Report project targets, commitments, status and forecasts
* Monitor and update time plans
* Taking part in technical reviews
* Weekly project meetings with Senior/Design Engineers
Required qualifications
* University degree in Mechanical engineering or similar
* Relevant and documented project work experience
* Experience from automotive industry are beneficial
* It is meritorious being familiar with KDP,LEQM/TCr/DPA0/procost,...
* Fluent English, written and spoken; Swedish is beneficial
* Driver's license "B"

You are well-organized, structured and proactive person. You should be customer oriented with high ability to take initiatives and be self-driven. Further, we need you to be business and performance driven. The position requires the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Moreover, we expect you to possess good communicational and social skills.
