Who are we, your new colleagues?
You will belong to the Driving area team in the CAB Gothenburg section, responsible for our premium products Volvo FH, FM and FMX. As Driving we take responsibility for the design and development of components and systems in the driving area of the cab including Controls, Pedals, Steering wheel and airbag, Steering column/shaft, Instrument panel, Door panels, Seats etc.
We are a team of independent individuals who thrive when we get to create and develop exciting and important products - especially now since we are taking steps towards autonomous driving and electro-mobility. We are very customer oriented and have many different competences that we more than often share to learn from each other.
What will be your responsibilities?
We will count on you to take great responsibility for the area of Seat and Seat belt, leading both your colleagues, suppliers and other partners you will work with. You will be responsible for the concept, requirements and follow up of development of Seats and Seat belt for Volvo Trucks. You will lead the suppliers who will perform most of the work in detail. You will be working very integrated with other functions locally and globally whereby communication and holistic viewpoint is essential. You will also contribute to the global strategies within the field.
One of your main responsibilities will also be to continuously develop yourself, your colleagues and Volvo Trucks.

We also believe you have:
Master of science or higher education
Strong product focus over the entire product life-cycle
Several years' experience in automotive industry and in a global atmosphere
Ability of working structured and systematic with strategies, development and maintenance at the same time
Experience and understanding of legal demands and verification methods
Experience of creating and developing great supplier relationships
Full proficiency in English
Experience from Volvo tools environment and KOLA is considered a merit
