We are now looking for a Lead Engineer for E/E (Electrical/Electronics)! This position will belong to the Trollhättan organization with a strong possibility for an international assignment.



Description

The E/E Team, that you will be part of, belongs to the Engineering & Product Development Organization. You will part of a strong team of Engineers responsible for Infotainment Systems, Electro Mechanics & Power and Signal Distribution, Body, Comfort & Safety Electronics. You will start 3 to 6 months in Trollhättan to get familiar with NEVS development processes and tools as well as Engineering organization. You will then most likely go on an 18-month international assignment supporting NEVS Chinese Engineering organization in Tianjin, China, in implementing E/E components and systems. You will be the "extended arm" of the Trollhättan E/E management team in the Tianjin E/E organization. A Lead Engineer primarily collaborates internally with other engineers, technical specialists and Managers and externally with suppliers and is involved in all phases of a car project.



The role as Lead Engineer E/E involves:

- Leading the development of E/E on system and component level
- Responsibility for technical requirements and specifications for different components and being the technical interface towards suppliers.
- Supporting the E/E engineering and product development organization with a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of E/E systems
- Evaluating the feasibility of new proposals and products to meet the requirements.
- Supporting development and maintenance of tools & processes for Electronics development in general.
- Leading technical communication with suppliers through the complete product development lifecycle
- Leading analysis of designs such as FMEA, FTA etc.
- Participate in mentoring and training activities.
- Anchoring the assignment's decisions, development and status with the responsible line management
- Support alignment and coordination between the E/E organization in Trollhättan and in Tianjin

We are looking for someone who has:

- Minimum education of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience from electronics in the automotive industry, minimum 8 years
- Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of Automotive Electronics
- Experience from Project management, Supervising, or organizational development
- Fluent in English both spoken and written. Knowledge in Chinese language and working culture is a merit.
- Driver license B

- Have Excellent automotive industry knowledge
- Have the ability to adapt in the interaction with different persons, groups and culture.
- A desire to learn and develop, on a personal and professional level, in an International Assignment (China)
