We work with our HMI heavy head unit (android), amplifiers, speakers, microphones & antennas. We are the ones within AB Volvo that do the on-board application and connected services. Some of the apps and End user functions we implement are Entertain the driver, Driver Coaching, ISee, Remote SW Download, Geofencing, Fleet management, Vehicle settings, body builder, automation apps, electromobillity apps, phone, music players, 3rd party apps etc. Connectivity is a key enabler for the future of the Volvo Group. Our service and connected android system is enabling new features in the entertainment productivity and uptime field. The development in the area of connectivity is fast, furious and fun!
The EACS Electronics team is now looking for a Lead Engineer/ Engineering Task Leader. You will lead a team responsible for developing the vehicles connected entertainment systems and components, such as radio, media player etc. These systems are an integral part of our customer's product offering and the driver environment. To deliver world class products in this area we are constantly challenged to provide the best solutions in terms of feature, quality and cost. The development is done in a global environment with colleagues and suppliers from around the world.
Responsibilities:
Project management towards suppliers
Continuously follow up the development by the supplier: development process review, time plans, deliveries etc...
Handle the communication regarding problems and changes towards the supplier
Responsible for securing timely decisions concerning concepts, changes and problems
Responsible for securing that the team delivers integrated and smoke tested sub-system(s) according to plan
Report project progress to line and project management
Responsible for keeping a updated and communicated time plan with budget for the development scope
Participate in the EACS agile release train planning and securing Tier1 deliveries to the internal development activities
Follow the results in the system tests and the component unitary tests
Represent several components in i.e. project meetings in larger projects
Coordinate the work and the resources within the team

Qualifications
University degree, Master of Science
Experience in managing Tier1 outsourced embedded SW development, preferably in the automotive industry
Infotainment/ in-veichle entertainment domain knowledge a merit, but not a must
Personal skills
Fluent in english, written and spoken
Responsibility taking personality, acts with integrity and, of course, with a result oriented mindset
Motivated, innovative enthusiastic and a positive attitude
High co-operation and communication skills
