Who are the department?
The Chassis Gothenburg department has the mission to maintain and develop the premium Volvo trucks, such as our FH/FM/FMX products. We take full product ownership of complete chassis and work as "front face" towards the Volvo Brand. We drive the deliveries by close cooperation with technology streams and utilizing global architecture, components, and interfaces to a very high degree.
Who are the team?
Within Vehicle Engineering in Gothenburg, Exterior Noise team, we focus on developing and installing Noise Shields and Encapsulation securing Exterior Noise regulated levels. Our team is growing together with great expectations for the future.
What will you do?
As Lead Engineer for Encapsulation, you will actively lead the Exterior Nosie team with the main mission to develop and design Noise Shields and Encapsulation, securing deliveries to several strategic and important future projects. You will manage a global network of colleagues from locations as Gothenburg, Bangalore, Curitiba and Spain. You will also secure planning, verification and documentation based on project demands and milestone targets.
Who are you?
To be successful we think you have:
Master of Science in Product Development or equivalent
Several years of Volvo AB experience or automotive experience in product development
Several years of working in CAD systems, preferably Creo experience
Experience and understanding of legal demands and verification methods
Proven ability to lead and work well in cross functional teams
A track record of keeping deliveries
Ability to solve challenges in a technically complex environment
Proven ability to fluently speak and write in English
Experience in NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) is an advantage
Experience in developing Noise Shields and/or Plastic Components is an advantage
Knowledge of SCRUM and SAFE is an advantage
