The team you will belong to, Team CA & Product Material within Chassis Development department Vehicle Engineering Gothenburg.
We have responsibilities within customer adaptation, master builds, and material handling.
The whole group consists of 11 people whereof 6 within the customer adaptation area. We work together with many colleagues with different technical skills and cultures.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Lead Engineer Chassis customer adaptation, you will act as a specialist for developing technical solutions within Chassis customer adaptation
You will be responsible for meeting the requirements for chassis systems when developing customer adaptation solutions. You will interact closely with chassis engineers and cross-functional teams (XFT) to understand requirements and system architectures.
To drive and design requirements through virtual verification and validations is something you will do in your daily work. That also includes driving and secure design approval from all stakeholders, mainly line engineers, while keeping the costumers needs at forefront.
You will develop and execute defined products by collecting the inputs and requirements from the stakeholders, and bring value addition to business with innovation, process efficiency and many more initiatives.
In your role you shall also interact and work with global CA teams and represent D1 team /site in the defined global forums. Technical mentoring and competency development of the team members, driving high engagement, keeping high standards along with the reporting manager is part of this profile.
WHO ARE YOU?
We believe that you are a mechanical engineer with strong technical leadership and at least 5 years of engineering experience within Vehicle Engineering, preferably at Chassis development.
You have a strong drive, high focus, curios and not afraid of taking initiatives.
You have a positive and open attitude with passion for finding answers and the best technical solutions.
As the rest of the team, you are a target-oriented team player, agile and accountable for the tasks you take on.
You are expected to have knowledge in Volvo systems such as KOLA and CREO.
