Our Engineering department is creating a strong foundation of skills for new technologies and innovations. We have a committed passion to create and deliver iconic and desirable global products suitable for volume production. For that purpose we need to strengthen our Body Unit.
We are now looking for a Lead Engineer for BIW area!
Description
The Body & Exterior Department, that you will be part of, is incorporated in a bigger unit inside the Technical Development Organization. You will lead a team of Engineers, with your primary responsibility for BIW components.
A Lead Engineer primarily collaborates internally with other engineers and technical specialists and externally with suppliers and is involved in all phases of a car project.
The role as Lead Engineer for BIW involves:
• Lead and coordinate BIW development for external & internal projects
• Be technical responsible for component/system and is required to possess a thorough and detailed knowledge within the area of expertise and about connected systems
• Lead technical communication with suppliers through the complete product development lifecycle
• Support the body engineering and product development organization with a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge on BIW
• Identify opportunities and/or implement changes to improve products or processes and reduce costs
• Evaluate the feasibility of new proposals and products to meet the requirements
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of verification and validation methods and procedures that concern BIW
We are looking for someone who has:
• Relevant experience within BIW area, minimum 5 years
• University engineering education within relevant area or equivalent experience
• Driver license B
• English and Swedish, both spoken and written.

• Be able to cooperate with other people in a successful way
• Have customer focus and be easy to work with for both internal and external "partners"
• Have good communication skills.
• Have a talent for functional and technical thinking

Terms
National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
