You will be part of Power Grids in Västerås. The Power Grids division is the world's leading supplier of power and automation products, systems and service solutions for the entire value chain from power generation to the transmission and distribution of electricity. Our offer spans transformers, HV products, systems for power transmission and solutions and automation for integration and interconnecting power grids - to enable a stronger, smarter and greener grid.
Your responsibilities
You will act as Project Engineer and be part of ABB Network Control in Sweden.
We manage larger delivery projects of SCADA systems with EMS, GMS, and DMS contents globally.
Together with our Project Manager, you will be part of a team that configures, installs, tests, tunes and commissions our systems.
You will specify implementations according to customer needs, identify and describe the best technical solution possible and take part in some of your team's activities.
This job comes with travelling requirement a couple of times per year.
You will be living ABB Power Grids's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background
This position puts high demands on your leadership skills, technical understanding and ability to clearly communicate technical solutions to customers and project members.
A strong drive and result-focus is important, as are great organizational skills.
You hold a university degree along with advantageously at least five years' work experience related to power systems.
Experience from design or analysis of power systems and related equipment is qualifying.
Knowledge of operation, configuration and commissioning of SCADA systems is also highly valued, as is experience from HVDC, smart grids, and working in multinational teams.
Skills in relational databases such as Oracle is advantageous.
Since you will be part of a global organization, fluency in English is a must, whereas additional languages are considered a plus.
We will also consider applicants who can take on a technical role within EMS, GMS, DMS, or System Integration. In this case work experience is advantageous but not a requirement.
