Lead Engineer
Would you like to work with challenging and complex project management in an international community with many different stakeholders? Join us at our section Exterior Trim within Exterior Engineering!
Our Section, Exterior Trim, consist of five different groups (Exterior Ornamentation, Functional Black Trim Floor, Functional Black Trim Engine Compartment, Exterior Glass and Exterior Body Covers&Spoiler).
Exterior Ornamentation leads the development of A-pillar moulding/covers, Cheater panels, B- and C pillar cappings, deviderbars, appliques, rails and emblems.
As an Operational Lead Engineer within the group Exterior Ornamentation you are responsible for leading a temporary focus team together with SA with the task to solve the long and short time issues of anodized trims. The inner team consists of a System Responsible and two Group Design Leaders (project leaders) and an outer cross-functional team with Suppliers, Purchasing, SQM, Cost Estimators and Analysis Engineers.
You will establish and develop relationships with representatives from many areas inside the company.
Main responsibilities
* Manage the assignments in the cross-functional team, secure deliveries and results.
* Responsible for an assignment time plan
* Responsible for budget and cost.
* Report the assignment status and decisions to System Project Leader (or equivalent) and Line management.
* Anchor decisions, development, status and prognosis for the assignment with the project and line management.
* Set up targets, obligation, status and prognosis for the assignment.
* Report and make notes of all deviations in the assignment.
* Participate and find input to all technical documents (ESOW/DPR/TR/Drawings/Models/etc.)
* Investigate new materials and production methods
* Make actions to eliminate deviations and report them.
* Take part of Lessons learned
* Perform benchmarks
* Identify all requirements within the system area and develop balanced technical/logical/economical/robust long term solutions which works together with adjoining system areas
* Work strategic to find solution to ongoing issues within anodized parts at Exterior
* Find long term solution for anodized parts, give input to CBP (commodity Business Plan), SDP (System Development Plan)
Required qualifications
* Bachelor or Master of Science Engineering or similar
* Experience as Lead engineer or Project leader
* Experience of working cross functional with other stakeholders
* Skilled PC user and large experience of MS Office
* Fluent in Swedish and English, written and spoken

Meritorious Qualifications
* Experience from working with anodized/ aluminum or bright trim parts
