Customer Service and Solutions is a new department within Volvo CE Technology. We are developing Volvo CE's future offering areas such as autonomous machines, site management systems, operator support functions, telematics and diagnostics. We are now strengthening our team and looking for new team members, talented members that want to develop the future solutions for our yellow machines. Together with a passionate and innovative team you'll be shaping and developing our solutions for smart connected machines.
Lead Engineer Intelligent Machine Platform
In the newly established department Intelligent Machine Platform we are strengthening our abilities in smart connected services. You will be working with engineering solutions related to site management systems for construction machines and operator assist solutions. You will become one of our experts in within the area and lead development and maintenance of the systems and services. As Lead Engineer you will lead a team from a technical aspect and secure technical delivery in our projects. Your team consists of system engineers, SW developers, component engineers, test and verification engineers and tech suppliers.
You will be leading the team to secure that needed features are delivered to products and services during the entire life cycle. In early phases you will collaborate with our advanced engineering team to secure that the right areas are investigated. In industrialization phase you will secure that specifications, requirements, components and SW are delivered and quality assured. You will also make sure that your team makes the right corrective actions on customer quality issues in the domain during the maintenance phase.
An important part of the position is to build competence on industry trends and new technology in the domain, networking with suppliers and colleagues within AB Volvo to map future needs and solutions.
We are looking for applicants with experience from working with embedded systems. You understand the dynamics and limitations in a system of SW and HW. Experience from working with agile methods is beneficial. On top of your interest in technology you are people oriented and have leadership skills.
You will be a key person in creating a new business for Volvo CE. Your mindset, attitude and personality will be a success factor for this team.

Experience and Qualifications
• Master or Bachelor in computer science, media technology, electrical, electronics or equivalent
• Experience of team leadership
• Solution oriented
• Technically curious and innovative
• Experience from agile work methods is beneficial
• Proficient spoken & written communication skills in English is a requirement
• Proficient spoken & written communication skills in Swedish is beneficial
