You lead a cross-functional D & D (Design & Development) team, with both Design Leads (DL) and CAD engineers; which may consist of either internal or external resources and personnel from the Advanced Engineering
You are customer and Plastal's main contact on technical matters and to communicate and collaborate in a professional manner
The "smaller" projects to fill the role as Design Lead (DL) and work directly with CAD kontruktörerna that can be both internal and external
You report:
• Project status as required by the Project Manager and D & D's management concern basis, for example: Planning, Cost, Technical status, organization, APQP
• Report potential improvements to management
You ensure:
• The so-called best practices and lessons learned from previous projects and ongoing production are considered and implemented in kontruktionerna.
• optimizing the customer's requirements and manufacturability
• that conflict and geometric control is performed and documented for the given system
• D & D expertise and recources in the project in order to perform a high quality job
You establish / Follow up:
• D & D schedule in accordance with the project manager's overall schedule and follow up critical milestones during the development phase, and report discrepancie and suggest corrective measures. If possible, be responsible for selecting a standard product concepts
• quality plans that relate to the design (D-FMEA, etc.).
• Product Data Management (PDM / PLM) to ensure proper status and progress of CAD models and drawings.
• Documentation of change management (eg mod request to suppliers or toolmakers and budget out development cost to PL / Market
• Benchmarking and documentes analysis of relevant competitors and customers' products
Support:
• Project to establish a white book for the project
• Sales for quotation preparation
Your responsibilities are for example:
To find technical solutions that meet customer requirements, and report discrepancies as these
Monitoring and budgeting D & D hours and report discrepancies
To lead the D & D team and ensure good communication through regular meetings
You have completed studies (BSc or MSc) in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in plastics technology.
You have minimum 5 years of qualified experience in engineering management of development projects in the automotive industry
