At the section Cab body & Exterior we have both in-house development and development in cooperation with external partners and we always seek to deliver customers future needs today. We have the aspiration to have the most skilled and engaged employees in the industry and we are now looking for a Lead Engineer to strengthen the Cab Body - Exterior Umeå & Customer Adaptation team within Cab Engineering Europe.
As Lead Engineer you will be a key contributor to the success of our customers. You will have colleagues around the world, all passionate about trucks and engineering solutions. Together we develop new and premium cabs for our future trucks, covering advanced engineering, concept studies and detailed development work.
What we can offer you
As a Lead Engineer for Exterior front you will be component owner for the Volvo HD brand carrying parts on the Front Lid, i.e. Brand Identity Panel and Grille. Key parts to the Volvo truck exterior front design. The position is truly cross functional with a lot of interactions with e.g. product design, suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing, testing, aftermarket and CAE both locally and on other sites within AB Volvo. You will work in all engineering phases, from advanced engineering to concept generation, detailed development and industrialization.

Requirements
• Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years engineering experience and at least 3 years within automotive development
• Experience within plastic engineering
• Skilled in CAD, preferably Catia V5
• Experience in leading an engineering team is a merit
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
