Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Lead Diagnostics Engineer to strengthen our team in Gothenburg.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
You will be responsible for a set of subsystem/function testing and validation activities including but not limited to.
Development and delivery of diagnostic specification and functionality throughout whole product development lifecycle in collaboration with our system, hardware and controls engineers.
Developing diagnostic documentation
Delivering verified diagnostic monitors in line with new software and hardware product changes.
Creating and running feature test cases at the vehicle level for the charging and control systems.
Developing software requirements for the creation of production code requires cross-functional and cross-team collaboration.
Assist in authoring content for guided diagnostic documentation
Using software tools to author, update and check ODX databases.
Performing validation of ODX data using a mix of simulation, test rigs, pre-production and production specification vehicles
Develop & maintain simulation environments designed to support the validation of new diagnostic content.
Validate diagnostic software releases against design specifications and report any nonconformities or bugs.
Enhancing the functionality of the diagnostic system by designing, developing, and validating new runtime features.
To strategize and plan:
Automotive diagnostics process & tools - Plan & develop diagnostic tools and processes
Coordinate for Prognostics with multiple systems and cloud integration
Develop Remote Diagnostic process with multiple system teams
EV diagnostics
Knowledge of Automobiles and its operation
Knowledge of manufacturing process and assembly lines
Have the ability to operate diagnostic tools and software
EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEGDE:
Automotive Systems Engineering experience including understanding of Model-based systems engineering
Experience in Diagnostics, tools and methods.
Experience of automotive communication protocols and hardware
Experience delivering embedded software in a real time control environment.
Strong systems and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills
Ability to drive and complete tasks independently, task-oriented, and high attention to detail.
Ability to work in a complex and ambiguous environment.
Positive and passionate, good team player
Previous experience with vehicle diagnostics, including the reprogramming and calibration of ECUs.
Experience with Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio)
Understanding of Extensible Mark-up Language (XML)
Functional knowledge of automotive communication protocols
Strong understanding of industry-standard diagnostic documentation/tools
Experience in diagnostic protocols
Basic understanding of software programming languages
Experience with software scripting tools
Familiar with project/issue tracking software tools
