The group Door Trim lead many automotive projects at the same time. The group develops new system solutions to be implemented in our new car programs as well as yearly updates for current models. Our team consists of around twenty engaged multicultural persons both designers and lead engineers/project leaders. We have many interfaces towards other groups working with other areas throughout our vehicles.
As Lead Engineer (KU) you are responsible for all deliverables connected to implementing door panel system solutions into our new car models. The door trims are made as "build to print" project to our production suppliers. All engineering work is made in house by our team. Door trim is a highly focused area both from styling and customer point of view. This makes it an interesting area to work with. We are looking for a result oriented lead engineer to run a new development project. You will work in a global environment, leading an international cross functional team with many global contacts. As lead engineer within the section Interior trim, your daily program work is supported by Technical coordinators on finance and verification respectively.
Main responsibilities
• Manage a cross functional team in engineering projects and ensure delivery with regards to time-, technology- and cost
• Perform design reviews to the team
• Answer for the Door trim system solution validation and ensure production launch
• Manage supplier contacts in regards to planning and monitoring
• Ensure commonality between projects
• Work in close cooperation with the suppliers
• Take part of and influence future strategies for door trims in our vehicles
Required qualifications
• University degree in Mechanical engineering
• Experience in project management, preferably within the automotive industry
• Experience/understanding of design work in Catia and other systems that manage drawings and 3-D models is meritorious
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Drivers license (B-level)

• Strong project management skills, ability to drive tasks towards goals and deliver on time
• Organised, structured and able to handle many tasks simultaneously and to take decisions
• Strong communication skills as well as a positive mindset and a networking personality
• Eager to work in a group and to cooperate with other people
• Customer oriented
