Lead Engineer ? CAB, Special Vehicle Development
Job Summary
As a Lead Engineer you are a key player and will lead our CAB engineering activities in Special Vehicles Development, Gothenburg. Your capacity to accurately predict and consolidate all engineering aspects for a technical solution is paramount in order to execute the design and validation plans on time. Your work will serve as an important input to the decision making process and to secure a successful delivery.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
• Lead and ensure that the CAB technical design fulfils the business targets and requirements
• Consolidate all engineering resources including engineering partners, related to the product to be developed and relevant to the scope, into a full CAB engineering proposal
• Drive and arbitrate the technical dialogue with Engineering and Manufacturing for the technical area to define most optimized technical solution to meet customer needs
• Develop and share acquired competence and provide technical advice
• Develop and apply lean development process for Special Vehicle Development to secure reduced time to market and development cost
• Participate in business development and innovation
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
For success in this role we expect you to have a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering and work experience in the relevant field for a minimum of 10 years. You have demonstrated successful experience in product development and specifically strong knowledge of design, packaging, engineering system solutions and integration within CAB for cab-over-engine trucks. In this position you need to be fully proficient with Catia V5 and the understanding of Product Data Management systems when defining the product offering. Experience in Special Vehicles and/or Customer Adaptation development projects is considered as a plus.
