Lead Engineer ? Electrical Components, Special Vehicles Development
Job Summary
As a Lead Engineer for Electrical Components at Special Vehicles Development in Gothenburg you are an important player and will drive our engineering activities. Your capacity to accurately predict and consolidate all engineering aspects for a technical solution is paramount in order to execute the design and validation plans on time. Your work will serve as an important input to the decision making process and to secure a successful delivery.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Define, drive and ensure that the electrical and electronics hardware system fulfils the business targets and project requirements
Lead electrical components and wiring harness design, packaging and documentation activities from concept to industrialization
Develop verification and validation plans based on risk analysis
Consolidate all engineering resources including engineering partners, related to the product to be developed and relevant to the scope, into an engineering proposal
Drive and arbitrate the technical dialogue with Engineering and Manufacturing for the technical area to define most optimized technical solution to meet customer needs
Develop and share acquired competence and provide technical advice
Develop and apply lean development process for Special Vehicle development to secure reduced time to market and development cost
Participate in business development and innovation
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
For success in this role we expect you to have a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering and work experience in the relevant field for a minimum of 10 years. You have specifically strong knowledge of design and integration of electrical components and wiring harness for caboverengine trucks with successful deliveries. In this position you need to be fully proficient with Saber Harness and understanding of Product Data Management systems. You know the truck business and are used to interact with our customers to translate customer needs into quality assured technical solutions. Experience in technical areas such as Electromobility, Active Safety and/or areas for Automated Driving are considered as a plus.
