Our Design Center in Gothenburg is the global headquarters for Geely Design and focuses on delivering great design for the two brands: Zeekr and Lynk & Co.

We are now looking for a skilled, motivated and self-driven Lead Digital Modeler to join our team that is dedicated to design, innovation and digital modelling. At Geely Design Center Gothenburg you will be part of a global company with people who want to do great things and enjoy doing it. We are a dynamic and flexible team that supports the Lynk&Co and Zeekr brand in the digital modeling of their interior products.
As a Lead Digital Modeler you will be leading a professional modeling team and contribute with your expertise to a successful delivery. In this role, there will be possibility to influence the digital modeling teams future work and development.
As our Lead Digital Modeler, you will be based in Lindholmen, right in the middle of Gothenburg in a brand-new design facility.
This is what you will do most of the time:
Responsible for the deliveries of the CAD models from your modeling team and make sure that it fulfils the time and quality requests for the different gates.
Responsible for resource planning and distribution of the work within your digital modeling team to best achieve the requested deliveries from the project.
Visualize your teams work for designers and managers as and when required.
Lead and support the Digital modelling team within the project and build a good team spirit.
Managing weekly team meetings and zone meetings connected to Jira with your team and relevant disciplines.
Suitable background and experiences:
Expert skills in using software as Alias or ICEM Surf or polygon modeling tools
You have previous experience of work in cross functional teams and lead and mentoring a modelling team against given targets
You have at least 10 years' experience in digital modelling
Technical education and/or solid working experience from automotive industry.
Catia experience
Fluent in English (spoken and written)

We are looking for someone who is flexible, has a strong drive and is able to work under constrained time schedules and frequently revised circumstances. You have strong leadership skills and you use a coaching approach when managing conflicts or differences of opinion in teams. You have strong interpersonal skills and ability to build good work relationships with various stakeholders across the company. To be successful in the role you also need to be organized, good at documentation and record keeping as well as you need strong planning skills and ability to distribute work within a team. You need to be independent and confident as well as a good team player. Last but not least, cultural awareness, specifically between Europe and Asia is also an important factor for the role.
