Edvirt AB is a startup in the area of software development and virtual education. Edvirt?s main product is a simulator developed for operator training in the mining and tunnelling industry. Development of the simulator started at Chalmers University of Technology in 2009 and was ready for the market in 2012 which is when Edvirt was founded.
Now the company is in an expansion phase where it will continue to sell and deliver its products both in Sweden and internationally. Meanwhile, the company will start to develop new software and it is for one of these planned softwares that the company now is in need of a lead developer to join the team.

• Duties and Key responsibilities -
The position includes leading the development of a new visualization software that will help in creating more environmentally friendly and efficient tunnelling. The project will be completed together with a team consisting of various companies in the tunnelling industry, researchers from Chalmers University and Edvirts internal development team. The person appointed to this position will be responsible for most of the programming in the project and will have a lot of creative input on design and implementation as well as responsibility for realising the software.
The position will report to Edvirt?s CTO, which will also be involved in the project in an advisory role as well as part time programming when needed. Edvirt?s CEO will be the project manager and will be responsible for everything in the project that are not directly connected to the software development.
The project is set to run for 12 months after which the position will involve either further development on the software or transition to some of Edvirt's other products.
• Candidate profile -
You have experience with 3D computer graphics programming, preferably OpenGL. You preferably have experience with C++,Visual Studio and Windows programming in general.
You happily take on technical problems and find it exciting to learn about new things.
A strong foundation in mathematics and/or previous experience in simulation and 3D engine design is a bonus.
The job requires you to take a lot of responsibility and that you are mature in your development work. This does not necessarily mean that you have many years of programming experience.
Furthermore, it is required that you like working in a small organization. Working in a "startup" is very fun, exciting and dynamic, but is often very different from working in a bigger and older organization.
Excellent working English and/or Swedish skills, both written and spoken.
