Powertrain Engineering Laboratory is a complete test laboratory with test capability for engine, transmission, hybrid, drive line, acoustic and system testing.
Within Powertrain Engineering Laboratory we are today focusing on increased effectiveness and future demands in testing.
Job Description
Do you want to play an important role in building the new New Powertrain Lab? Then you are welcome to us. We are looking for an Lead design engineer, mechanical systems who wants to be a part of our program organization. As Lead design engineer, mechanical systems with us you have an important and very central role. We offer you an exciting and innovative trip, where you will be involved in the development of facilities and equipment to be able to meet new demands in testing of engines, transmissions, hybrids and complete drivelines.
As Project Leader you will be responsible for
Analyze and understand incoming need and design requirements specification for external suppliers (i.e. consultant firms). Analyze and understand incoming need from internal customer
Contract external companies for working out design solutions and implementation into lab environment according to requirement specification
Support external suppliers (i.e. consultant firms) with information about our requirement and follow up design solutions
Responsible for mechanical design validation in development assignments and projects
Be involved in follow up design solutions from other engineers and advise co-workers
Provide input for strategies concerning mechanical design in test cell environment
Actively communicate to our internal customers in order to work out the most efficient solution

Qualifications
Engineering degree from university or equivalent experience
Documented experience
Experience of working within a development organization is considered as a merit
