The group Fuel Storage System has the main purpose to store and fill the car with fuel. For all fuel systems there are severe and challenging legal requirements when it comes to safety and emissions. We are responsible for the components fuel tank (including valves and tank straps), filler pipe, filler cap and brackets. Our group is part of the section Fuel System that is responsible for the development of complete systems for Fuel, Emergency Vehicle Accident Prevention (EVAP) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR).
As a Lead Components Project Responsible you will be responsible for securing that project deliveries within the group meet time plans, quality assured and optimised. You are continuing the work at the pre study gate and will lead the assignment up until production start. You will have a cross functional role and among others work together with our suppliers, design engineers, test engineers and product responsible. You are responsible for time, technique and cost in one or several assignments and are leading the suppliers to deliver the optimal system and component solutions.
Main responsibilities
• Lead projects to meet time plans, quality assured and optimised
• Document the assignment: updating and realising of documents for the system and components
• Drive and anchor necessary decisions to take care of deviations
• Quality assure the design solutions through cross functional follow-up as well as analysing the verification need and follow up test result
Required qualifications
• M.Sc., B.Sc. from technical education or similar in experience
• Strong technical competence with will and ability to understand our components and systems
• Great project management skills and ability to drive to finalise tasks
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Driver's license (B-level)
• Experience of product development from the car industry as well as an international environment
• Experience of designing components in plastic, rubber or metal is meritorious
• Experience in work with Catia V5, 3D/2D is meritorious
• Experience of designing components/system for petrol, ethanol, diesel or CNG is meritorious
• Experience of engines, electronic system and/or chemical processes is meritorious
• Experience of quality work Design For Six Sigma is meritorious
• An asset would be experience of Volvo-systems KDP, TCE and change management process with Volvo Part Concern
