The Project Management group govern and drive program/project/construction assignments deliveries to Testing, Verification and Materials Technology (VT&MT). We aim to be experts in execute technical complex industrial program/project/construction assignments for laboratories at Group Trucks Technology (GTT).
VT&MT is responsible for the operation, maintenance and development of test and materials technology laboratories. We work both local and global to deliver high-quality results and expert functions within our areas of responsibility.
VT&MT is a part of Powertrain Engineering, GTT located in Gothenburg. We have a legacy of innovation. Innovations that we do today will reshape the transportation industry of tomorrow.
About the role
As a Lead Design Engineer within Electrical Engineering in Project Management you are together with colleagues, responsible for electrical and automation systems design validation in facility and test cell development, assignments, and projects. You will analyze and understand incoming needs from internal customers, as well as needs and design requirements specifications for external suppliers.
You are expected to bring expertise in:
Tools (Elplan, ElproCad) and understanding for documentation system.
High level of knowledge in electricity, standards related to it and a good understanding of EMC, High Voltage and Low Voltage Directive.
Basic knowledge in, Electrical Safety, CE marking and machine directives.
Cable sizing, Measurement techniques and electronics, Signal handling and quality as well as PID regulator technology.
Test cell set-up and structure are meritorious.
As well as coaching and support with guidance in electrical engineering.
You will create sustainable solutions, strategies, methods and instructions within test cell electronics, electrical load units and measurement equipment aligned with future demands. Together with your team, you will take part in benchmarking different systems to create a test & development environment on a premium standard and quality level. Additionally, you will analyze rig specifications, translate to RFQ documentation and secure common standards, as well as defining technical solutions.

Requirements:
University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education.
Several years' work experience.
Knowledge and experience in testing and verification.
Experience in complex machinery deliveries/installations and hand-over to line organization.
Experienced in agile ways of working.
English proficiency, both written and spoken. Swedish is a merit.
