The IT consultant (ITC) segment is one of the major segments within IPS. This segment is responsible for the global supplier base for all IT consulting services, work-packages and managed services for the Volvo Group. The main stakeholder is Group IT and the total spend is approximately 1.6 Billion SEK
We are now looking to hire a Lead Commodity Buyer and Segment Owner for ITC segment to be responsible for the global segment strategy with focus on optimizing supplier base, purchasing processes and quality secured master agreements.
This segment has recently moved to IPS and is under transformation. It therefore offers great possibilities and challenges in developing best practice purchasing processes and relationships. You will be responsible for the Key Performance Indicators for the segment working together with a network of operational buyers who are responsible for the segment's operational work in their country.
You will be a part of the dynamic team of Professional Services (PS) commodity and report to the Commodity Manager for Professional Services.
The geographical location is flexible but Volvo Group IT presence is strong in Europe. You will be required to travel occasionally.

• A good communicator who is comfortable in a transforming environment.
• A person with strong analytical skills.
• A team player who enjoys working together with a multicultural network but also having the ability to work independently in a structured way. You will be the main point of contact for this segment with a large network.
• You have a university degree in technology and/or business or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent English is a must, additional languages, in particular Swedish and/or French, is a competitive advantage.
Your key to success
• Ability and interest to liaise lead and collaborate with the IPS team of global operational buyers
• Strong suppler relationship skills and experience working with global and local suppliers
• Ability to work with and advise global stakeholders at senior management level
• Expertise in purchasing process including strategy and RFx
• Connected to IT industry forums and good understanding of IT Purchasing market trends
• Good presentation skills
• Ability to build strong Strategy skills rather than operational purchasing
