Reporting to the Overall Commissioning, Start-Up (CSU) Manager, the Lead Commissioning Engineer will play a key role in supporting all aspects of discipline testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and plant performance testing. This full-time position requires strong experience in complex industrial projects and extensive knowledge of commissioning processes, exceptional organizational, technical, and leadership skills to ensure successful project completion and handover while managing all aspects of mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities in accordance with industry standards and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination: Act as the primary interface between multiple project teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across all engineering disciplines during the commissioning and start-up phases.
Support Planning: Assist in the development of detailed plans for testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities, coordinating with other teams to align project milestones and schedules.
Technical Oversight: Provide expert guidance across all facets of discipline testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning, ensuring that all project activities meet industry standards and project requirements.
Documentation Management: Oversee the preparation, review, and control of documentation related to commissioning activities, including test reports, punch lists, as-built documentation, and procedural manuals.
Interface Management: Facilitate effective communication between the CSU Manager, project engineering, operations, and construction teams to resolve issues and align objectives for successful project delivery.
Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot technical and logistical issues that arise during commissioning and start-up, implementing timely solutions to avoid delays and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all project support activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a strong safety culture and leading by example.
Performance Testing: Support the coordination and execution of plant performance testing, ensuring that all systems meet specified performance standards and project objectives.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, recommending improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of commissioning and start-up activities.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical support and expertise, ensuring that all team members are aligned with project goals.

Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of industrial commissioning processes and interdisciplinary coordination
Proficiency in project management and interface management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, Monday.com, MS Office)
Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and safety management protocols
Familiarity with Completions Management Applications
Strong technical writing skills for documentation and report preparation


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or related field). A master's degree is advantageous.
10 years of experience in project support and interface management for industrial projects, with a strong background in testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and plant performance testing.
Familiarity with large-scale industrial projects, preferably in hydrogen-based or green steel production.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements for commissioning and start-up processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage cross-disciplinary interfaces.
Proficiency in relevant software and project management tools.
Fluent in English;
