hela Sverige This purchasing department is a strategic and profit generating function within the company with a vision to perform better than any competitor by purchasing the best value for its customers. The department is responsible to manage all external sourcing as well as setting clear and challenging goals, follow-up the execution of strategies and lead activities to achieve the goals.
Responsibilities
As lead buyer at this department you will be responsible for driving the daily purchasing activities according to the company's goals. In this role you will work independently but close to your colleagues, taking large responsibility for your own processes.
Your daily tasks involve to:
• Drive development of global segment/commodity strategies and ensure implementation
• Manage the supplier relationships and performance (quality, delivery, feature and cost) for the whole product life cycle (project, sourcing, operational)
• Perform the activities required for the portfolio: e.g. negotiations, project implementation, optimize the total cost (Quality, logistics, engineering, manufacturing, etc.)
• Run sourcing and resourcing activities to develop the portfolio and supplier base
• Deliver the defined KPI:s on time and in accordance with set targets
• Work in accordance with the company processes, values and behaviors.
The assignment starts in the middle of April and will continue at least for one year. This is a full-time assignment but the workload can demand long working days. You will be a part of Adecco's consultancy business but work at our client's office in Gothenburg.
Your profile
To manage this role we think that you have strong purchasing experience from large, international companies, preferably within the automotive industry. You have experience from similar work tasks and should be used to leading negotiations with suppliers. You have a university degree in engineering and/or business and analytical skills. You have good knowledge in English and Swedish, both written and spoken. Other language skills are a merit.
As a person you have a result-oriented approach with good interpersonal skills and a clear business orientation. We see that you have excellent communication and presentation skills, strong problem solving ability and business mind. You should also be a self-motivating team player wit a strong drive.
