Position description
We are looking for a Lead Buyer, who will set the Global Strategy for one or several Commodities and coordinate Purchasing activities globally. At Volvo Penta, you will have the chance to make a difference, since the organization is small enough for you to get involved and make decisions. Being a part of the Volvo Group also means we can benefit from the larger organization.
Areas of responsibility:
• Manage the supplier relationships and performance (quality, delivery, feature and cost) for the entire product life cycle (project, sourcing, operational) and co-operate cross-functionally to achieve best solution
• Perform the activities required for the portfolio: e.g. negotiations, sourcing, re-sourcing, projects, optimize the total cost (Quality, logistics, engineering, manufacturing, etc.)
• Work in accordance with the Volvo Penta processes, the Volvo values and behaviors

Qualifications
• University degree preferably in engineering and/or business
• Good knowledge in English, both written and spoken
• Minimum 3 years of experience from International business within Purchasing or Sales
• Business acumen
• Technical curiosity
• Analytical, logical and structured
• Positive attitude and target oriented approach
• Strong team player and the ability to take initiatives
Traveling is expected, occationally
