The Lead Application Architect is a key player whose work will set the base for the future application landscape within the bank. You will be given a unique opportunity to work with major changes in a rapidly growing bank, where you are expected to take a major responsibility in both the short and long term. You will be able to affect your future role and you will be a permanent member of the Architecture Review Board. We expect that you will become the hub of the organization in which you along with appropriate stakeholders within IT and business take ultimate responsibility in how application architecture can help transform the application functionality and structure within Ikano Bank.

Help us simplify finance for the many people
In your role as Lead Application Architect you will be working in close collaboration with all lead architects, together with our Head of Enterprise Architecture, to ensure enterprise view and definition of common/aligned transformation roadmaps.
In this role you are expected to secure application architecture, from a business, information and technology point of view. You will describe architectural design patterns and frameworks which will explain the application selection and development roadmap. Setting standards and ensuring reusable patterns and interfaces to ensure an optimal application landscape will be one of the most important parts of the role. To contribute with input for development methods and implementation of new solutions is essential and a part of the role where you can make a great impact.

Are you the one for Ikano?
You have a BSc or MSc in IT, Engineering or Informatics, or a proven equivalent in skills & experience. You have a documented architect background and proven experience from working with Application Architecture and an architectural framework, e.g. TOGAF. Documentation is in English and internal and external contacts will be international - therefore you must be fluent in written and spoken English.
We are looking for someone with:
• Knowledge in SOA architecture or, more preferably, MicroServices Architecture (MSA)
• Skills in lean and agile development methods
• Knowledge about design patterns for integration
• Knowledge in .Net, Java, Oracle and SQL server
• Knowledge and experience of financial sector is an advantage along with managing skills
• Knowledge in API design, specifically in the Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN) and Open Banking,
• Core Banking platform experience (specifically Cards and Loans) and Origination systems,
• Knowledge and experience in consumer finance end-to-end customer journeys,
• Knowledge and experience in modular SaaS platforms & ecosystem integration,
• Knowledge and experience in core banking transformation in the cloud experience would be preferable,
• Knowledge and experience in the Retail Industry would be a bonus
• Knowledge and experience in application containers (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes ...) as a bonus
• The ability to engage and influence at the CxO level

A key competence is the ability to understand the importance of being part of a much larger whole - as well as an awareness and handling of cultural differences. The role is a permanent position, preferrably based in Malmö, however we are open to discussing our other locations. Some travel is required to meet with the other IT and business units.
