About the job
Kongsberg Automotive, and the business segment Powertrain & Chassis (P&C), is a major supplier of powertrain systems and chassis related products for commercial and light duty vehicles. An opportunity as Launch Manager has now arisen within our plant in Mullsjö, Sweden. As a Launch Manager you will be part of the P&C plant management team and report to Plant Manager in Mullsjö.
Main responsibilities
In this position you will be responsible for:
* To lead and coordinate the pre-production team of the plant in new product introduction (NPI) projects and also major product/process improvement activities across the line organization from the project start until the product has been implemented in production.
* To manage all activities with reference to cost, lead time and production process.
* To maintain the project targets for budget, contribution margin and timing for the local manufacturing plant and to manage risk throughout the program to ensure projects will still meet quality, cost, and delivery targets by being proactive and initiating corrective actions when needed.
* People management, performance development and coaching of 8 team members as well as to lead a cross-functional team in a matrix organization environment.
Candidate profile
We are looking for you with a MSc/BSc engineering degree and knowledge of automotive industry and manufacturing, including PPAP and quality systems. Documented experience in a leading engineering role is a strong advantage.
As a person, you demonstrate leadership skills as you develop and motivate others to strive for common goals, which helps you plan and organize your work. You have an eye for problem solving and take initiative for potential improvements in the strategical work as well as in the daily operation. You are fluent in both English and Swedish, verbal and written.
