Internationella Engelska Skolan Staffanstorp is now recruiting a Math/Science teacher to join our fantastic working environment. The position of teaching Math and Science for grades 5-7 is a full-time, permanent position.
The school:
Internationella Engelska Skolan is a truly international school. We have staff and students from all over the world contributing to a dynamic international atmosphere. Our schools are bilingual with up to 50% of teaching in English and we follow the Swedish national curriculum.
We are opening our doors, in Staffanstorp, in August 2022 for grades F - 7. We aim to build a school where every student is seen and where you will have the opportunity to make a difference in their lives. The school is located in Staffanstorp, which is in the south of Sweden, with easy access to exciting cities such as Malmö and Copenhagen.
The position
We are looking for a teacher who, believes in giving students the opportunity to realise their full potential, whatever their background. You must also be passionate about Math and Science and have the ability to inspire your students. This position will also require you to run the Math and Science Department, as HOD Math and Science. Because of this, you must be prepared to teach by example through creating a calm learning environment and using differentiated teaching methods.
As a Math and Science teacher you will also act as a mentor for a class.
We require:
• Current teaching license/registration with relevant higher education from outside of Sweden (TEFL/CELTA are not sufficient) or Swedish "lärarlegitimation"
• Fluency in English and/or Swedish
