We are now recruiting exceptional teachers to teach in our school and we currently require qualified Art teachers to join our school.
Brief description of the company:
Internationella Engelska Skolan in Umeå has just opened in a newly renovated and furnished building at Bölevägen 44, Umeå. We are a part of the organisation, Internationella Engelska Skolan i Sverige AB (IES). Half of the tuition in the school is in English and the remainder in Swedish. We are a school with fundamental values; The central pillars of what we offer our students are:
• To command the English language - the key to the world. Up to half of our teaching is in English, performed by certified native English-speaking teachers.
• A safe and orderly environment, where teachers can teach and students learn.
• High academic expectations.
Internationella Engelska Skolans results on the national tests are far above average for Swedish schools.
Our schools are approved by the National Schools Inspectorate (Skolinspektionen) and follow the Swedish curriculum. There are no fees to attend. In compliance with the school law, we base admission on the principle of first-come, first-served.

Yr 4-9 Art, the position includes mentorship for students. The flexibility to teach music for 20% would be favourable in this instance too.
We are looking for:
• Certified, professional teachers that will teach mainly in Swedish. It is important that you command the English language as the school is bilingual.
• Enthusiastic, dynamic, committed, loyal and positive team-players that are willing to go the extra mile for students and colleagues.
• Experience from an international environment is an advantage.
