ABC Labs is on a mission to transform the substance abuse screening industry by introducing a comprehensive solution tailored for European workplaces. We aim to redefine the standards and practices in this critical field. Our goal is to streamline the entire chain of substance abuse testing through integrated sampling, advanced laboratory analysis, and precise result evaluation services. We are currently seeking a dedicated medical doctor with expertise in laboratory medicine and drug screening to join our dynamic team. Your role will be pivotal in achieving our ambitious vision.
Responsibilities
Analyzing Laboratory Results: Review and interpret laboratory results, specifically laboratory tests results related to drug screening.
Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory tests.
Consultation with Healthcare Providers: Provide expert advice and consultation to other healthcare professionals regarding test results and their clinical implications.
Regulatory Compliance: In collaboration with head of Quality, ensure laboratory operations comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
Research and Development: Conduct and participate in clinical research to develop new laboratory tests and improve existing ones.
Data Management: Oversee the management of laboratory data, including electronic health records (EHRs) and laboratory information systems (LIS).
Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments and specialists to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care.
Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on laboratory findings to healthcare providers and, when necessary, to patients.
Innovation Implementation: Integrate new technologies and methods into the laboratory to enhance diagnostic capabilities and efficiency.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with laboratory tests and equipment.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
Doctor of Medicine (MD)
Specialized training or fellowship in Toxicology, Clinical Chemistry or Clinical Pharmacology.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
Previous experience in drug screening and toxicology testing.
Proven track record of managing and interpreting complex laboratory tests.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in various drug screening methodologies (e.g., immunoassays, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS).
Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR).
Competency in quality control and quality assurance practices in a laboratory setting.
Strong analytical skills for interpreting test results and troubleshooting laboratory issues.
Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve laboratory discrepancies and technical problems.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting results and collaborating with healthcare providers.
Strong interpersonal skills for effectively working within a multidisciplinary team.
Research and Development:
Experience in conducting or contributing to clinical research studies.
Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in drug screening technologies and methodologies.
