Workplace:
The employment is at Cancerföreningen in Stockholm. The individual will be located at the Department of Oncology Pathology at Karolinska Institutet, Immune and Gene Therapy laboratory. For part of the time he/she will be available also as a mobile resource to all members of the Center for Immune Modulatory Therapies for Autoimmunity and Cancer (IMTAC), to work in their laboratories at KI. Area of responsibilities/duties:
The position involves establishing common immune monitoring protocols and biomarker analyses for translational projects and clinical trials as well as assisting in implementation of novel methods and assays. These assays include ELISPOT, ELISA and flow cytometry, the induction and expansion of T cell cultures, ex vivo generation of dendritic cells, cryopreservation and cell banking.
In addition, the work includes organizing network activities such as meetings and seminars within the IMTAC Thematic Network.

Qualifications:
The candidate must have some experience in cellular immunology and in immunology-based assays such as ELISPOT, ELISA, cell proliferation, flow cytometry, immune phenotyping, isolation of specific cell types, experimental cancer models. Expertise of T cell culture and dendritic cell culture is also an advantage.
Experience in the specified techniques and area of research, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to cooperate with researchers and clinicians, will be the basis for the selection of candidates.
