We are now looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our R&D laboratory to work with adhesive formulations and perform hands on formulation and wood material testing. The newly established Innovation Centre in Stockholm hosts versatile talents in research, business development and marketing, working together to reach our ambitious goals.TasksIn this role you will be involved in cutting edge innovation projects in the field of bio-based materials from trees. You will perform critical hands on laboratory work that is vital for formulation development. You will be part of a dynamic international and interdisciplinary environment where you will collaborate closely with your colleagues in the project teams. We have high focus on health and safety, and as part of the role you will work actively with these aspects together with colleagues.Tasks for the role include: - Adhesive testing to reach desired properties of formulations- Glue-up and evaluate formulations on different wood substrates - Preparing wood substrates for testing- Documenting results and communicating these to colleaguesThis is a temporary employment for 12 months.QualificationsWe believe you have vocational training or other type of courses or experience within advanced wood work and/or wood related laboratory work. Maybe you have training or experience from furniture/cabinet making/carpentry. It is beneficial if you are familiar with wood testing methods and examining and testing glue properties. You are skilled at using sliding table saw as well as surface/thickness planer.As a person you are flexible and appreciate a dynamic work environment. You enjoy working independently hands on in the laboratory and consider yourself structured and well-organized with a high safety focus.
